yesterday 12/4, we had a basic berimbau lesson. we learned sao bento de grande, sao bento pequeno, and angola mainly.

sao bento grande is the most basic one you learn. i love it:

In class, we continued the landscape depth work. I finished up on my old piece and started something new. The new one took less planning, and I was able to whip it into something in only a few minutes. A classmate says it looks impressionistic. which is cool... My teacher really likes my work. He sees potential in me. He says I have good sense of color, and that he hopes to see me in a museum someday. All flattery, but encouraging nonetheless. I am definately inspired by his work & class. He lent me a book, "The Art Book", to return next week. Also, I am excited about some of the classes for next semester (even though I may not be around... we'll see)
