painting 5

the girl from painting class isn't a girl. she's married and is a lawyer. she took off recently to travel around the world, and is now pregnant with a baby. i couldn't tell. she lives on the same block of the school. haha, how she told me was "i live on this street", but what i heard was "i live on the street". i said "really". she said "yeah, i really do. i live on the street". well thas how i heard it. i didn't know what to say in that moment. haha, but then i figured it out later when i said bye. i like making cool new acquaintances.... in class, we tried to finish our paintings. i missed last class, so it was virtually impossible for me. the class I went to - what we were doing was the underdrawing. the class i missed was with color, not monochrome anymore. and this class, we were to work on glazing. which is slightly modifying the color by adding color and medium over it. i was rushing too much, so i didnt get to try glazing. my picture came out like crap needless to say. but my teacher/professor still likes my style : throwing globs of paint on the canvas. hehe. by the way, his show started today. keep in mind this guy is an amazing photorealist landscape artist : http://jamesvanpatten.com/
