sequencia:
low jinga variation - descida - back to jinga - mea lua de frente to parallel - back to jinga - quexada - esquiva parallel - armada - descida on same side - negativa - rolle - quexada
practice: more descida - negativa - half rolle - macaco with partner
W (4/9/08):
we had a long intense roda. so long, so intense that i almost didn't think we would have practice. but at the last 15 minutes, we did have a little practice. though it was probably one of the most painful experiences i've had in a long time, after such a roda (long and intense!). all we did was repeated cycles of:
descida - switch jinga - roll into esquiva lateral - back to jinga - switch jinga - esquiva parallel left and right - switch jinga
+ workouts:
lots of squats and pushups and ankle raises. oh my!
i guess the highlight of it all, despite the pain is... backtrack to the roda, i was in the middle of volta mundo with M. I had just bought the game too, but Mestre told us to stop. while we were circling each other, he said words i didn't expect... about how much i improved and yadda yadda yadda. i was flattered/honored.

Hey, Carvao!
I just wanted to say I think it's really cool how you're keeping track of everything you're learning/need to work on here. I did that for a few months in a little notebook, writing down all the sequences we learned every class so I could practice them later, but somehow I stopped. =\ I keep meaning to start again though; maybe now I will! Muito axé =D

hey Joaninha!
wow, i didn't really think anyone read this. haha. you have that mandingueira blog on wordpress, right? it's great! i read it from time to time. that post with the comprehensive list of capoeira books is very helpful. i am always looking for good books on our art.
thanks for encouraging me to keep up with the log. sometimes i forget or get lazy. haha, but now i will definately try harder. and you should really restart yours, as well. & maybe, post a few on your blog. i am curious.
Lol, I just randomly arrived here one day XD That's awesome though, I'm glad it helped!
Oohh that'd be interesting...hehe, don't know if my teacher(s) would appreciate me putting all their sequence ideas online though ^^" But it's a cool idea to think about, since I'm sure each group has their own particularities when it comes to them!
OR you can leave sequences as comments in MY blog! haha, your secret's safe over here.
Lol...you're a clever one. :P
Hmmm, well off the top of my head, I remember one where you give martelo to someone, then banda, step over the banda'd leg, and then tesouro. XD
haha, ooh very trecherous! well i'd esquiva lateral to your martelo, step parallel, half au over your banda, and stay in bananeira doing my taxes inverted, while you tesoura nobody. hehe.
i'm bad, i don't feel like logging this week's capo sequences. :) nothing special. i'll probably do it next week.
great post on "perspective in capoeira" by the way.
